Vena Engineering designs and manufactures Precision Measurement Equipment for various industries. Originally catering to the disk drive industry, VENA has evolved into the industry leader by providing Precision Measurement Equipment with a primarily expertise in advanced CSS & Load/Unload system designs.
VENA Engineering created systems that were rugged, reliable and easy to recalibrate. The system was capable of controlling eight separate spin stands, independently, at disk speeds from 0 to 20,000 RPM. The system was unique in that the controller technology incorporated a custom designed motor controller which allowed for very accurate control of both the spindle motor speeds and ramp rates, and the actuator arm for precise head/arm movements.
The VENA solutions have been created with extremely accurate and repeatable hardware spin stands married to software which allows the user to fully test the interaction between the media and head combinations.
